The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident that killed a person in Santa Ana on Wednesday. According to the officials, a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in a collision.
At around 5:18 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the southbound freeway and Florence Avenue. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
