According to the San Jose Police Department, a pedestrian accident occurred in San Jose that killed a woman. The accident occurred in the 800 block of Saratoga Avenue, north of Belvedere Drive.
At around 2:09 p.m, a man driving a 2004 Volkswagen Touareg struck a woman who was walking on the sidewalk. The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
