A tragedy struck San Jose on Saturday as a pedestrian succumbed to injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian accident occurred near Saratoga Avenue and Belvedere Drive, as announced by the San Jose Police Department at 2:48 p.m.
Despite prompt medical attention, the injured individual was unable to recover and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
In response to the incident, two lanes of southbound Saratoga Avenue, spanning from Blackford Circle to Belvedere Drive, have been closed to facilitate the ongoing investigation by law enforcement officers. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under scrutiny as authorities work to determine the sequence of events leading to the fatal crash.
