The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a man in San Diego on Wednesday.
Approximately at 6:00 a.m., a vehicle that was traveling southbound on SR- 163, Interstate 5, struck a man who was walking in the same lane. As a result, the man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
