The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a person in San Diego on Friday.
At around 11:45 p.m., a white Subaru driven by a 51-year-old man northbound on I-5, Old Town Avenue, struck a person who was walking in the same lane. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was declared dead right away.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
