1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Sacramento (Sacramento, CA)

Sacramento police are attributing a tragic fatal crash in the Pocket neighbourhood to DUI and speeding. The crash resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to two children. The pedestrian accident occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. on Friday along Pocket Road near Greenhaven Drive.

Alethea Lee, 26, is facing charges related to driving under the influence and causing great bodily injury. Police intend to add a charge of gross vehicular manslaughter. The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The children survived and were taken to the hospital. The identity of the woman is not yet known at this time. 

Lee, also injured, was subsequently booked into the Sacramento County Jail, with a scheduled court appearance on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
