1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Sacramento (Sacramento, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident on Wednesday. 

The accident occurred on Interstate 5 just before 12:15 a.m. 

According to the officials, a pedestrian was running across the freeway when he was struck by a Ford Mustang. The crash caused the pedestrian to be pushed into the right shoulder o northbound I-5. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver, identified only as a 32-year-old Sacramento man, did not leave the scene and waited for the officials. He cooperated with the investigation. 

The officials have reported that the driver was not impaired at the time of the fatal accident

The victim was identified as a homeless man and his age was not known. His identity has not been disclosed pending notification of the family. 

The cause of the fatal accident has not been revealed. 

There are no other details available at the moment.
