According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, a pedestrian crash in Rancho Cordova killed a man on Monday.
At around 6:00 p.m., a vehicle traveling on Folsom Boulevard in the Mine Shaft lane struck a man who was walking in the same lane. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated in the investigation.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
