A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning in Phoenix, resulting in the death of a woman after she was struck by a car, as confirmed by police. The Phoenix police responded to the scene near 12th Street and Campbell Avenue around 6:00 a.m.
During their investigation, officials discovered that the woman was lying on the road at the time of the collision. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the fatal crash site, and authorities stated that impairment was not suspected. However, the identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed, and investigations are ongoing. Phoenix Police Sgt. Mayra Reeson stated that further details will be revealed following a pedestrian accident reconstruction.
