In a tragic incident, a fatal auto-pedestrian collision occurred on Interstate 10, near the 876-mile marker in Orange County. The pedestrian accident took place before dawn on Wednesday, prompting an investigation by the authorities.
According to preliminary reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety, at approximately 1:41 a.m., a Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was travelling west when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway. The driver, identified as 27-year-old Jose Cabrera of Florida, escaped unharmed.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian, whose identity remains undisclosed, was fatally injured. They were pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal crash by a justice of the peace.
