According to the Oakland Police Department, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Oakland on Monday. At around 9:00 a.m., a woman was crossing the road in the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
She was struck by a white Cadillac Deville that was traveling west. The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle that struck the woman escaped the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
