In a tragic pedestrian accident on Tuesday night, a pedestrian lost their life on Oakland’s International Boulevard after being struck by a stolen vehicle and a second car.
The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m., propelling the victim further into the roadway after the initial impact. The stolen vehicle, disabled from the fatal crash, prompted its occupants to flee the scene. The second vehicle also fled after striking the pedestrian.
Regrettably, the victim succumbed to their injuries. Police later apprehended the suspected driver of the stolen car. Names of the victim and suspect are pending release by law enforcement.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
