The Marshall Police Department reported a pedestrian accident on Saturday. The accident occurred in the 5100 block of South East End Boulevard at around 2:15 a.m.
According to the officials, an 18-wheeler had collided with two pedestrians. One of the victims incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was severely injured and taken to a local hospital.
The identities of the victims are not yet known at this time. The driver of the 18-wheeler remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The officials have reported that the driver was not under the influence at the time of the accident and he has not been detained at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
