1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Marshall (Marshall, TX)

The Marshall Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that occurred on Monday and confirmed that one person died. The deceased victim has not been identified at this time. 

Around 6:40 p.m. the crash happened when a child had been hit by a vehicle in the 2000 block of Lower Port Caddo Road. The child was riding a battery-powered toy car when they were struck.

The child was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicle involved in the collision.

The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It remains uncertain whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in the collision.
