According to the Marshall Police Department, a pedestrian accident occurred in Marshall early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at the intersection of W. Michigan Avenue and West Drive, east of I-69 at around 5:45 a.m.
According to the police department, they found a 36-year-old woman unresponsive on the road. The officials stated that the victim suffered major injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the pedestrian was not revealed by the deputies.
The officials are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
