A person was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident that happened near Manteca. This happened after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision occurred at approximately 4:20 a.m. on westbound Highway 120, east of Jack Tone Road, in close proximity to the Manteca city border. Regrettably, the pedestrian, identified as a man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead.
While the victim’s identity has not yet been released, CHP has affirmed that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
