The Lubbock Police Department reported a pedestrian accident on Sunday night. The accident occurred in the 1900 block of South Loop 289 at around 9:00 p.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in a collision the events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
