The Lancaster Sheriff’s Station reported a pedestrian accident on Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred on Lancaster Boulevard, just south of Valley Central Way at around 4:02 p.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in the collision. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear now.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time. The driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene before the police could arrive.
