1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Huntington Beach (Huntington Beach, CA)

The Huntington Beach Police Department reported a pedestrian accident on Sunday night. The accident occurred on Beach Boulevard north of Williams Drive at around 11 p.m. 

According to the officials, a 2019 Hyundai Kona was headed north in the far left lane when it crashed into a pedestrian. The pedestrian had been walking outside of the crosswalk at the time of the accident. 

The pedestrian incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as a 34-year-old woman from Florida. Other details regarding her identity have not been disclosed. 

The driver of the vehicle, identified only as an 18-year-old girl, was not injured. She remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. The officials have reported that they do not think impairment played a role.
