1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Houston (Houston, TX)

A pedestrian was tragically killed on Monday morning in Harris County. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident in the 950 block of W. Mount Houston Road around 5:30 a.m.

According to HCSO Lt. Simon Cheng, a woman with a shopping cart walked onto the road. A black Dodge Ram pickup truck travelling westbound struck her. The area lacked proper lighting and a crosswalk.

The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. The driver remained at the scene of the fatal crash, and an investigation into the pedestrian accident is ongoing.
