1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Harris County (Harris County, TX)

January 16, 2024 – Nationwide Report®

A tragic pedestrian accident unfolded in northwest Harris County on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a pedestrian after being struck by a truck. Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after a Precinct 1 deputy constable witnessed the crash at around 9:50 p.m.

The pedestrian, crossing West Mount Houston Road without a crosswalk, was hit by a truck, propelling them about 150 feet away. A second vehicle managed to swerve and avoid the person. However, the victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, who was not intoxicated, stayed at the scene. The lack of streetlights in the area adds complexity to the ongoing investigation into this fatal crash.
