A tragedy struck on the East Freeway in east Harris County on Saturday night as a man lost his life after being struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross. The pedestrian accident occurred in the 16000 block of East Freeway after 10 p.m.
The man was hit by two vehicles and was fatally injured due to the force of the impact. The identity of the dead has not been disclosed. The first driver stayed and cooperated with deputies, with no charges filed as intoxication was ruled out. However, the second driver fled the scene, prompting officials to search for them using vehicle debris left behind.
Deputies aim to locate the second driver, though they have not disclosed any details about them yet. The investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
