According to the California Highway Police, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Monday morning.
The officials stated that the crash happened on the westbound San Bernardino Freeway at Cogswell Road at around 4:03 a.m.
The CHP Officer Elizebeth Kravig reported that one person was killed.
The identity of the deceased victim is yet to be determined by the officials.
It is unclear whether drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving was the factor involved in the fatal crash.
The investigation led to the closure of lanes 3 and 4 of Durfee Avenue.
