1 Person Killed in A Pedestrian Accident In Austin (Austin, TX)

A tragic incident unfolded on Thursday night in North Austin as one person lost their life in an auto-pedestrian collision on North MoPac. The Austin-Travis County EMS and Austin Police Department swiftly responded to the scene near the 9600 block of North MoPac around 7:58 p.m.

Sadly, the individual struck by the vehicle was pronounced dead on-site. In response to the crash, APD has diverted traffic to North Capital of Texas Highway and Braker Lane as they conduct their investigation.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and anticipate delays and road closures. The details surrounding the fatal crash are under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading to this tragic loss of life on North MoPac.
