A tragic incident occurred in North Austin on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a pedestrian after being struck by a vehicle. Austin-Travis County EMS reported the collision at approximately 10:27 p.m. in the 9900 block of North Lamar Boulevard at West Longspur Boulevard.
Despite efforts by the Austin Fire Department, including CPR, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the pedestrian accident scene at 10:47 p.m. The driver’s potential involvement and any charges they might face remain unclear at this time.
The Austin Police Department has launched an active investigation to determine the cause of the fatal crash. The community is devastated by this loss, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward to aid in investigating this tragic incident.
