Austin police responded to a fatal crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian early Wednesday morning in the 6300 block of W. US Hwy. 290. According to APD, both eastbound and westbound lanes of US Hwy. 290 were shut down.
Westbound traffic is being rerouted to Patton Ranch Rd., while eastbound traffic is redirected to W. William Cannon Dr. Motorists are advised to steer clear of the area and anticipate delays as authorities conduct their investigation.
The pedestrian accident is still being investigated by the authorities. Details regarding the circumstances leading to the crash and the identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed. As the investigation progresses, updates will be provided.
