A tragic pedestrian accident unfolded in Arlington on Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of a pedestrian after being struck by multiple vehicles on Interstate 20. Police responded to the westbound lanes near Bowen Road around 8:49 p.m.

The driver of a 2009 Lexus RX 350 reported hitting something suddenly appearing in front, later identified as the pedestrian. Human remains found nearby suggest the victim, believed to be a man, was subsequently struck by several other vehicles.

The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver promptly stopped, called 911, and is cooperating with investigators, facing no charges from the fatal crash.

Authorities believe the pedestrian was not visible to drivers in time. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to find out the identity of the deceased victim.
