1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM)

The Albuquerque Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident involving a pedestrian, which occurred around 8 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Tramway Blvd. and Manitoba Dr. NE.

Officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash and discovered that the driver, heading north on Tramway, collided with a pedestrian. According to the driver, they did not see the pedestrian until the crash.

Two witnesses corroborated that the traffic signal for the driver was green when the pedestrian walked through the crosswalk. Regrettably, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Police have ruled out speed and alcohol as factors in the fatal crash. However, the investigation is ongoing as authorities work to gather more details surrounding this tragic pedestrian accident.
