1 Person Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Crash In Sterling Heights (Sterling Heights, MI)

A tragic crash involving two allegedly intoxicated drivers in Sterling Heights resulted in the death of a Canadian woman and serious injuries to at least three others, according to police reports on Monday.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on 15 Mile Road near Stanley Drive. A Ford Explorer SUV driven by a Detroit man possibly crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Honda Pilot SUV carrying six residents of Windsor, Ontario.

One adult female passenger from the Pilot was pronounced dead at the hospital, and another juvenile passenger suffered life-threatening injuries. Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol is suspected as a factor for both drivers, and the investigation is ongoing.
