1 Person Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Crash In Smith County (Smith County, TX)

A tragedy struck Smith County on Monday morning as one person lost their life in a three-vehicle crash. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 110 and CR 2121, also known as Meador Cemetery Road, according to DPS Sgt. Adam Albritton.

Initial findings from the investigation revealed that a pickup truck turned south off CR 2121 onto Highway 110, leading to a collision with a northbound pickup. Subsequently, the northbound pickup veered into the southbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle.

Regrettably, one driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while another sustained incapacitating injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The third driver involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries. Authorities anticipate ongoing work at the scene until approximately noon as they continue to gather information about this tragic and fatal crash.
