A fatal crash occurred on a Valley freeway ramp when a driver went the wrong way, resulting in a collision with another car. The incident took place around 11 p.m. on March 24.
A vehicle traveled eastbound in the westbound lanes of the U.S. 60 ramp to Interstate 10, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). The wrong-way driver, whose identity remains undisclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the occupants of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at a hospital before being discharged. DPS continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic collision.
