A tragic crash in west Phoenix early Sunday morning claimed the life of a woman in her 20s and left five others injured. Phoenix police responded to the scene at 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road just after 4:15 a.m., where a car and a truck were involved in the collision.
Despite receiving treatment at the scene, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. As of now, her identity remains undisclosed. Among the injured were two children, and all five individuals were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the truck ran a stop sign and entered Lower Buckeye Road, leading to the collision with the eastbound car. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash as the investigation remains ongoing.
