A tragic two-car crash in Lancaster claimed the life of a man on Saturday afternoon. The fatal accident occurred at 17th Street East and Avenue K around 2:45 PM on March 9, according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Department.
The man, driving a Kia Forte southbound on Avenue K, was struck by a Subaru WRX traveling eastbound on Avenue K as he turned onto 17th Street East. The impact resulted in significant injuries to the man, and despite being rushed to Antelope Valley Medical Center, he was pronounced dead.
His identity has not been released at this time. The driver of the Subaru, a woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The investigation into the cause of the accident and relevant factors is ongoing.
