A tragic and fatal crash occurred in Fresno County following Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations, with alcohol being cited as a contributing factor, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident happened just after 1:30 am on Copper near Willow Avenue, close to Clovis North High School. Three men were in a westbound Tesla when the car struck a center median guardrail, overturned, and then hit another guardrail.
Sadly, the driver and front passenger, who were not wearing seatbelts, were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. A third passenger sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Officials also mentioned that speed played a role in the crash. As of now, the identities of the deceased individuals have not been released pending further investigation by authorities.
