A fatal crash near 31st and Louisiana St. in Douglas County claimed the life of one person on Wednesday, April 24. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported a two-vehicle head-on collision just before 1 p.m., east of the intersection.
Sadly, one person involved in the crash died, while three others were transported to area hospitals, one by helicopter ambulance. The Sheriff’s Office crash investigation team is currently examining the scene, with 31st St. closed between Louisiana St. east to Haskell Ave. for several hours. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes as the investigation continues into this tragic incident.
