A tragedy struck northwest Austin on Friday night when a collision between two vehicles resulted in one person dead and another injured. Austin-Travis County EMS was alerted to the crash at 9:35 p.m. in the 6400 block of N Capital of TX Highway with Champion Grandview Way.

Upon their arrival, EMS personnel discovered one person pinned in their vehicle. Despite rescue efforts and CPR performed on the adult, they were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Another individual involved in the collision was transported to St. David’s South with serious injuries. As authorities continue their investigation, the cause of the crash remains under scrutiny.
