The California Highway Patrol reported a deadly multi-vehicle collision in Ramona that claimed a person’s life on Monday.
Roughly at 3:41 a.m., a Volkswagon and a Toyota were involved in a head-on collision on Main Street at Boortz Lane. Officers said that the driver of the Volkswagen crossed the centre line and rammed into the Toyota driven by a woman.
The male driver of Volkswagen was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the driver is not yet disclosed.
It is known that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
