According to the California Highway Patrol, a person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision and another injured in Lassen County on Friday.
A truck and a Polaris RZR side-by-side were involved in a collision. The Polaris RZR travelling southeast on Lakecrest Road at the intersection with County Road A-3 collided with the truck that was heading towards the intersection, Lakecrest Road.
The driver and the passenger of the Polaris RZR were ejected from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Stacie Sisson, the passenger was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
The identity of the driver has not yet been disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
