The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle head-on collision that claimed the life of a man in Lancaster on Saturday. At around 8:55 p.m., a man driving a 2018 Honda Civic eastbound on SR 138.
The vehicle swerved off the road and moved into the path of a Kenworth T680. Eventually, both vehicles collided with each other. The driver of the Honda was thrown off the vehicle due to the force of the collision.
He was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. The officials have not reported if there were others injured.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
