A tragic fatal crash occurred around 10:45 a.m. on U.S. 93 at milepost 168, approximately 28 miles northwest of Wickenburg, resulting in the death of a Circle K semi-truck driver.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the driver, heading south, crossed the centre lane, leading to a collision with another semi-truck’s trailer. The impact caused the Circle K truck to roll over into a ditch.
The driver of the truck was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. Although three other vehicles were involved in the crash, no additional injuries were reported.
The southbound lanes of U.S. 93 were temporarily closed, reopening at 4:15 p.m., with northbound lanes reopening shortly before 5 p.m. The multi-vehicle accident is under investigation.
