The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle accident in Whitewater on Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of INterstate 10 east at around 1 p.m.
According to the officials, a motorcycle and a big rig were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time.
The motorcyclist was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
