The Waco Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the 4900 block of Lake Shore Drive on Friday afternoon. At approximately 2:55 p.m., a westbound driver veered into oncoming traffic.
This caused it to crash into another vehicle. The man driving westbound was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin have been notified but the identity of the victim has not been disclosed.
The female driver of the second vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the multi-vehicle accident.
