According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a multi-vehicle accident in Visalia on Tuesday. The accident occurred at around 8:50 p.m. on Highway 99 near Paige Avenue.
According to the officials, a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in a collision. The pedestrian was walking north on the highway when they were struck by three vehicles. The victim was fatally injured and was declared dead on site.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
