According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Sonora on Monday. The crash happened on the 101 Freeway near Solimar Beach at around 9:30 a.m.
According to the investigators, a Honda CR-V and a utility truck were involved in the collision. An unknown pedestrian suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ventura County Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person. According to the reports, it is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
