According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Sutter County on Friday.
The crash happened on Highway 99 near Highway 113 at around 11 p.m.
According to the reports, a 2017 Dodge Caravan and a 2020 Kenworth T680 semi-truck with a 53-foot trailer were involved in the collision.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan traveling at a high rate of speed veered into the path of the semi-truck and collided head-on.
According to the reports, the driver of the Caravan suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sutter County Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
