In a tragic incident in Stanislaus County, a person lost their life in the early morning hours following a multi-vehicle accident. The accident occurred at the intersection of Yosemite Boulevard and Geer Road.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 1:39 a.m., discovering a black Ford Fusion pinned against a gas station wall. It had retained a significant amount of front-end damage. A silver Ford Explorer in the parking lot also sustained major right-side damage.
Unfortunately, the driver of the Ford Fusion was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is not yet known at this time. He was reported to have not been wearing a belt at the time of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing, and it remains unclear if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash.
