Two men tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision on Santiago Canyon Road on Saturday evening, with alcohol suspected to have been a contributing factor, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The fatal crash occurred around 9 p.m. west of Limestone Spur Road, involving a 2018 Ford driven by a 34-year-old La Habra man and a 1993 Toyota driven by a 42-year-old Santa Ana resident.
The La Habra man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Santa Ana resident succumbed to his injuries at Orange County Global Medical Center. Both drivers were identified as the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.
