The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident in Scottsdale on Wednesday. The accident occurred on Loop 101 at around 1:30 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. A Ford pickup truck was attempting to merge into traffic but got caught in a crash with a Chrysler sedan. The impact of the collision caused the Chrysler to flip over.
The driver of the sedan was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The driver of the truck incurred minor injuries.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available.
