A fatal crash unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, claiming the life of a passenger. Around 2 a.m., a 25-year-old woman drove south in the northbound lanes of IH 35 near West Cesar Chavez Boulevard.
Her vehicle collided head-on with another, though the events leading up to the crash are not clear. The passenger in the struck vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver sustained multiple injuries; however, the authorities have said that he is in good condition.
A third passenger was critically injured and taken to the hospital. The 25-year-old woman faces charges of DWI/intoxication assault as San Antonio police investigate the circumstances leading to this devastating multi-vehicle accident.
