1 Person Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Rio Vista (Rio Vista, CA)

The Rio Vista Police Department reported a two-vehicle collision on Thursday. 

The accident occurred in the 200 block of River Road, just north of Highway 12 and the Rio Vista Bridge in Solano County. The accident was reported at 4:14 p.m. 

According to the officials, a sedan was driving down the road when it collided with a minivan. 

There was a man and a 13-year-old passenger in the sedan. The man was pronounced dead at the scene but the passenger was taken to the hospital. 

The minivan was driven by a mother with her two children, a 3-year-old and a 3-month-old. All three were taken to the hospital after the crash. 

The identities of the victims have not been disclosed. 

The cause of the accident is still being investigated by the police. 

It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal accident.
